DURAN pressure plus is nominated for the GIT Security Award 2011


An independent external jury with representatives from BHE, TÜV, VDMA, ZVEI and users has nominated DURAN pressure plus laboratory glass bottles for the Security Award of the laboratory trade magazine GIT within the category "Safety at Work and Management of Hazardous Materials".

The nomination underlines the safety considerations on which the DURAN® pressure plus bottle is based when it comes to laboratory applications under pressure or vacuum. Thanks to a special geometry (based on ISO 4796-1) in the bottom and shoulder area and increased wall thickness, vacuum and pressure resistance of -1 to +1.5 bar is guaranteed. The safety of the DURAN® pressure plus bottle is certified to DIN ISO 1595 by TÜV and confirmed by the GS marking (TÜV ID: 0000020716). Consequently the bottle provides optimum safety both for user and content.


The GIT Security Award is given annually to those products which stand out in terms of innovation, user-friendliness and economy as well as giving full consideration to product safety.


A reader vote takes place from September in order to decide which of the nominated products is the winner in the categories, (1) Safe Automation, (2) Fire Protection, (3) CCTV, (4) Burglary Protection + Access Control and (5) Safety at Work + Management of Hazardous Materials.
