Different applications demand certain combinations, for example a blown hollow body with a pressed screw thread. Unlike plastic containers or traditional container and packaging glassware (e.g. bottles for the beverage industry), the DURAN GROUP‘s products feature the following product characteristics:

  • high heat resistance
  • high thermal shock resistance
  • chemical resistance to aqueous media, acids and alkaline solutions
  • very smooth, non-porous surface prevents the adhesion of fungi, bacteria etc.
  • easy to clean
  • taste and odour-neutral


Press-blown DURAN® glass is used in baby feeding bottles. Its excellent hygienic qualities also make it suitable for the exacting requirements of medical glassware.

Press-blown glass is also used in bottles for premium brand spirits, oven lights, blender jars, etc.
