    • i.e. absorption-free in the visible spectral range

    • Practically free from any colour distortion because they are highly transparent and colourless
    • Virtually free from surface defects, inclusions, streaks and bubbles and interfering stripes due to high optical homogeneity
    • Thanks to UV-absorption also suitable for fluorescence microscopy
