Measuring cylinders are used as receptacles and also for measuring various quantities of liquid. Mixing cylinders can be used for diluting solutions and mixing several components in a given quantity ratio. DURAN® measuring and mixing cylinders are highly resistant to mechanical and thermal loads. The large hexagonal base with 3 dimples on the bottom increases stability and prevents the cylinder from rolling away.
The cylinders have uniform wall thickness over the entire measuring range, which avoids the risk of errors due to wedging. They are calibrated at a reference temperature of 20°C. Accuracy limits for measuring and mixing cylinders are described in DIN 12 680 and DIN 12 685.
