Plastic coated DURAN® laboratory bottles, known as DURAN® Protect, are a practical addition to the conventional DURAN® laboratory bottle range.
The coating provides protection against mechanical damage and prevents the contents from escaping in the event of breakage. It also prevents broken glass flying about.
The plastic, which is cross-linked copolymer (polyurethane) based, stays transparent and adheres to the surface of the glass even after repeated sterilization in the autoclave (135°C). DURAN® Protect can be refrigerated down to -30°C and can be microwaved. Pressure resistant (-1/+1.5 bar) and amber DURAN® Protect laboratory bottles are also available.
