DURAN® flasks are used for distillation, reaction, extraction, etc.
They are heated up, as a rule, in heating mantles and liquid baths. Hot and cold spots should be avoided during heating up and cooling down. Round bottom flasks can be used for work under vacuum, but only if the surface of the glass is undamaged, i.e. no bruises or scratches, etc.
