Various versions of DURAN® flasks with a ground socket are used for special tasks. For distillation, fractionation and reaction, multi-neck flasks are used predominantly so that they can be combined with other attachments such as columns, thermometers, dropping funnels, boiling capillaries, etc. Single-neck round bottom flasks are used for simple distillation work and as receiver flasks, for freeze drying, in vacuum apparatus, etc.
DURAN® pear shaped flasks are used for handling small quantities of substances. All flasks are heated mostly in liquid baths or heating mantles.
