Products in detail - Centrifuge tubes |
The difference between DURAN® centrifuge tubes and other types of tubes is their wall thickness and their sturdy design. They have to withstand the high loads generated in laboratory centrifuges. The mixture to be separated rotates at high speed around an axis in the centrifuge tube. This causes the heavier particles to fly faster and further away from the axis than the lighter ones. This results in separation.
These tubes are approved to DIN 58 970 (Part 2) for a maximum relative centrifugal acceleration of 4000 and filling in line with their capacity with contents having a maximum density of 1.2 g/ml.
