The DURAN® Premium bottle assist safety thinking in the laboratory and make handling easier
The Premium Bottle is the logical further development of the well-known DURAN® standard bottle with GL45 screw thread and blue screw-cap. In addition to its proven material properties such as chemical resistance, inertness and safety the Premium Bottle provides additional properties and benefits which above all take into account safety thinking in the laboratory and make handling easier. Not least it opens up a wider spectrum of applications than the conventional laboratory bottle.

What are the special features of the DURAN® Premium bottle in detail?

  • The top-of-the-range DURAN® laboratory bottle has all the proven DURAN® properties such as chemical resistance (Acid Resistance Class I, Hydrolytic Resistance Class I, Alkali Resistance Class 2)

  • The bottle is topped off with a particularly temperature resistant screw-cap and matching pouring ring This closure can be used from
    -196° C to +260°C and is also fitted with a PFTE-coated silicone seal. This makes the Premium Bottle particularly leak-free as regards liquid and gaseous media. (Further details on request.) The closure and pouring ring contain no colorants so that there can be no question of pollution or contamination of ovens, drying chambers and sterilization cabinets resulting from the release of colorants.

  • Every DURAN® Premium bottle carries a “Retrace Code”. This batch identification can be used to check details of manufacturing date, glass quality and conformity with standards. Relevant certification is provided at the time of delivery, which is not the case with standard bottles.

  • The graduated scale on the Premium Bottle is accurate to +/- 5% and has extra subdivisions. There is an extra reverse scale to permit reading off both the current contents and the quantity removed at the same time.

  • We guarantee a thermal shock resistance of 160 K for the Premium Bottle; this has been tested in accordance with the strict guidelines of TÜV Rheinland and is confirmed by the GS symbol.

  • The whole system comprising bottle, closure and pouring ring conforms to USP/FDA standards.

  • Increased safety and reliability for users resulting from the batch certificate and the TÜV quality seal

  • As the bottles are supplied complete with all accessories, there is no need to order individual components separately. The accessories can also be supplied separately.

  • Because of its high thermal shock resistance in combination with the high temperature resistance of the closure the DURAN® Premium bottle is ideal for demanding sterilization processes such as hot air and dry sterilization and depyrogenization.

    The DURAN® Premium bottle is available in four different sizes:
    100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml and 1,000 ml.
