DURAN Group and Miele Professional launch marketing cooperation

The DURAN Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of laboratory glassware, and Miele Professional, a market leader for cleaning and disinfection machines, are now working together in the areas of product development, marketing and training. The aim of this collaboration between the companies is to leverage synergies that will facilitate laboratory work and lower costs for customers. Sharing information in this way enables laboratory glassware to be produced for everyday lab use that can be cleaned and disinfected both gently and cost-effectively.

Specifically, the cooperation will extend to joint product management activities, technical articles in catalogues and brochures, ads as well as customer and informational events. For example, the DURAN Group’s booth at the Achema show will feature a cleaning and disinfection machine provided by Miele Professional that contains DURAN® laboratory glassware. Experts will advise customers on the optimum way to prepare laboratory glassware. Other marketing promotions are planned in catalogues and brochures, along with joint ads. The product management departments at the two companies will also liaise on technical aspects. The companies intend to make their expertise available to customers at joint training and informational events, helping customers select and use their products more effectively.

This cooperation builds on decades of experience and complementary competencies at the two companies, which both have a long heritage and are among the leading global providers in their segments. The DURAN Group based in Mainz, Germany, provides high-quality, innovative laboratory and industrial glassware, specialising in its proprietary borosilicate glass which is extremely resistant to temperature changes. Miele Professional is a market leader in the field of cleaning and disinfection machines that prepare laboratory glassware thoroughly and safely for use. The machines are developed and produced in Germany, meet the latest technical and quality standards and are easy to operate.
